On the 12th October, 2015 voting for the 1st phase of the bihar assembly poll (as per election schedule) has been done. In which 57% voters has castes their votes for Bihar assembly election 2015.

This is almost 8 % higher than 2010 bihar assembly election. In 2010, voting percentage was 49% and this time, Women Voters are in large number casting their votes than men. In addition, polling was 4% higher than it was for the Lok Sabha elections last year. The election commission said these numbers could rise once the final compilation is done.

Higher voting turn out always measured as the result of high incompetency against current government.  District wise voting percentage is mentioned below;

Khagaria recorded the highest turnout of 61% followed by Samastipur (60%), Begusarai (59%), Banka (58%), Jamui (57%), Bhagalpur (56%), Munger and Sheikhpura (55%) , Nawada 53% and Lakhisarai (54%).

The 1st phase of polling done peacefully expect 2-3 small incidents, EC has arrested 10 people who are making chaos in polling booth.

Some political pandist said that 1st phase polling is close fight, as they are divided in BJP-RJD side.
